Yorkshire Day Celebration

Join us on Thursday August 1st, Yorkshire Day, to celebrate the magnificence of God’s Own County! 

Everything taking place on the day is free of charge. Enjoy some live music from the Flat Cap Band and the fantastic Great Yorkshire Morris will be entertaining us throughout the day. Lots of fun for the children with Yorkshire themed crafting, face painting, Yorkshire quizzes and even a rodeo sheep! Giant games will line the High Street and the football lovers out there can test their skills on the inflatable Football Shoot Out!

There will be an entertaining talk by the Yorkshire Dialect Society taking place in Skipton Library at 10.45.

At 11.49 the Town Crier will read the Yorkshire Proclamation.

A small Yorkshire themed market with a selection of the finest crafts, food and drink, all made and sourced in Yorkshire.
