Skipton Choral Society – Spring Concert

Skipton’s leading classical choir, Skipton Choral Society, will perform an inspiring programme of choral music at Christ Church.

Wings of a Dove promises an uplifting selection of sacred and secular choral works, from Mendelssohn’s soaring Hear My Prayer to the gentle beauty of Eric Whitacre’s Seal Lullaby.

The programme also features Howard Goodall’s The Lord is My Shepherd, which became widely known as the theme for the much-loved BBC series The Vicar of Dibley. Other highlights include Brahms’ Vier Quartette, Goodall’s Pelican in the Wilderness, Christopher Tin’s Sogno di Volare and the powerful Dark Night of the Soul by contemporary Norwegian composer Ola Gjeilo.

Tickets for the concert are available now and can be booked online. Tickets will NOT be available on the door.
Please note there won’t be an interval, but refreshments will be available straight afterwards.
