Description
The LTA recognise Skipton Tennis Centre as being one of the leading clubs in the UK, with regards to being innovative and creative in the approach to ensuring tennis is accessible for all. The club’s picturesque location is to the backdrop of rolling hilss that mark the Yorkshire Dales. Founded in 2008, the club now has 5 hard courts, 3 of which are floodlit, a club pro shop, changing facilities, and refreshment bar.
Ten years ago the tennis club was all but derelict with unplayable courts. Head Coach, Adam Cox took the radical step of launching a plan to redevelop the facility into what it is today. Future plans look to building 3 indoor courts.
Skipton Tennis Club welcomes new members, as well as residents and visitors who prefer to book their courts by hour. They offer 30 weekly coaching sessions and there is also the chance to play competitively, currently 15 adult teams compete across different leagues.
