Find out what it was really like to live in Skipton at the time of Queen Victoria. Enjoy our display of furniture by master craftsman Robert Thompson – the Mouseman. The words of Craven people are woven throughout, bringing to life the stories and treasures on display. The museum is suitable for all ages. Come and see what you can discover for yourself!

Our gallery shows a changing programme of exhibitions from local and national artists and crafts people. We showcase community projects and our museum collection. There are lots of opportunities to get hands on with workshops and interactive elements of our shows.

Our retail area offers a carefully curated and fun collection of treats and presents, including unique and locally produced crafts, educational gifts, books, homeware, souvenirs and greetings cards. Every purchase supports the Skipton Town Hall cultural hub and our outreach work across Craven.
