My Creative Life – Joan Murray – Living Garments
North Yorkshire Open Studios
Part talk, part catwalk sharing of work! Joan will give an insight into her career and creative processes. Her journey as an artist, and the influences that have changed how and what she creates.
Starting as a bank clerk, training at the Royal College of Art, selling work to Issy Miyake, teaching at Craven College and producing work today both in textiles and music. The path of progression for an artist is rarely linear and this talk will give an insight into the continuing evolution of an artist and their work.
