The End of the War - Beginning of Peace

Embsay and Bolton Abbey Steam Railway - Our Edwardian and Victorian wooden carriages will be running with re-enactments of soldiers returning from the war, to mark the 100 year anniversary of the end of the great war.

Period trains will be running to our standard single train timetable Saturday and Sunday. There will be re-enactments of soldiers coming home at 1pm & 2:30pm at Embsay Station on Sunday 11/11/18.

Our waiting rooms at Embsay will have displays of information relating to railway staff who left for the front and did or, unfortunately, did not return.

There will be displays of period railway memorabilia and WW1 film/slide shows.

There will also be a model railway display of the never implemented "Bolton Abbey" railway line.

Embsay with Eastby Village Hall - will also display WW1 information on the men who went off to war from the villages, together with other presentations on the subject. See their information & schedule at

http://www.embsayeastbypc.co.uk/432890554

A vintage bus will be running from Skipton High Street to the Station & Village Hall at regular intervals during Sunday.
